Shea competed for Liberty University from 2010-2014; compiling 150+ wins combined between singles and doubles, which is a program record. During his senior year (2013-14), he and his doubles partner won the ITA Atlantic Regional, made it to the Elite-8 at the Indoor National Championships at the US Open in NYC, and were ranked as high as #19 in NCAA, setting a program record for the highest ranking in Liberty history. Since graduation, Shea has taught at the Meadow Club of Southampton in New York (the largest grass court club in the world); at Inspiration Tennis Academy in Bradenton, Florida; at Smith Stearns Tennis Academy as a high performance coach in Hilton Head, South Carolina; and have been teaching at Boonsboro Country Club for the past 4 years. Shea has coached many juniors who are current NCAA D-1, D-2, and D-3 college players as well as a top 400 WTA player. Outside of tennis, he enjoys going to the beach or lake, watersports, hiking, and travelling.
